Oliver is a Senior Fellow for Electrical Energy Technology at Stellantis, where he owns the development and implementation of energy storage systems, fuel cell propulsion systems, electrolyzers, and infrastructure technology roadmaps, innovation, development, and architecture, driving this technology towards Stellantis’ long-term strategic goals.  He is an OEM Member of the United States Advanced Battery Consortium Management Committee, where he contributes to the leadership in advanced automotive battery technology.  He is active within many other Associations, including the SAE Battery Standards Steering Committee, co-chair for the Michigan Alliance for Greater Mobility Advancement (MAGMA) Governing Board, and Governing Board member for USU ASPIRE. 

Prior to Stellantis, Oliver was the Director of Engineering Services and Advanced Engineering Manager at Cobasys, where he oversaw the development of new battery modules, as well as battery pack testing and prototype builds.

Before Cobasys, Oliver spent a decade at Valence Technology, where he performed a wide variety of roles, including battery cell design, manufacturing, applications, and systems engineering.  He spent several years in overseas roles, including Northern Ireland, South Korea, and China.

He holds both a BSC and a master’s degree in Materials Science from the University of Toronto. Oliver has 34 years of experience in the advanced energy storage and fuel cell industries, holds over 18 patents, and has more than 45 publications.
